First Attempt at Animating!

What this is, is a bunch of shapes that i drew in photo shop and imported them into Flash. This was mainly an experiment to see if i was actually going to be able to make someone look like they can actually walk. I have to admit for my fist ever attempt, its not actually to bad. The things that look bad about it are the movement and the shadowing and also the layers. I did this using the bone tool in flash which allows me to move the leg in a more natural flow instead of moving it shape by shape which wouldn't look as smooth as this.  

Using Flash Animation!

Adobe Flash Animation was a relatively new piece of software to me, apart from a brief lesson in year 9. I looked for help with the software but i new no one how had ever used it before so i was left to teach my self. After watching countless flash tutorials on YouTube, i finally gave it ago my self.

First Idea For My Short Film!

When i was reading the breif for the short film and it mentioned doing it in animation, i knew from there that i wanted to do a short film using all or a little bit of animation within the short film. The first idea i came up was was going to be half video and the other half was going to be a Flash animation. The idea i had was a nerdy boy was going to be violent towards his computer and he ends up getting sucked into the computer and that's were the animation will begin. Within the computer all sorts of interesting things would happen and he'd end up been dragged and thrown in the recycling bin by his mum.

Brief!

7. A short film in its entirety, lasting approximately five minutes, which may be live action or animated or a combination of both, together with two of the following three options:

• A poster for the film
• A radio trailer for the film
• A film magazine review page featuring the film

The reason i which i chose to do this brief is because i didn't really fancy doing a music video as when doing it for my preliminary i didn't really like it to much as when it came to editing the video i realized how hard it was to get the get the perfect lip sync and when you couldn't how rubbished it looked. So when i came across this one i immediately loved the idea of attempting to do an animation and from the had an idea straight way.
